“When we feel strong & free in our bodies, we feel strong & free in our lives.”
-Jackie Casal Mahrou
Living a Soulicious Life requires a healthy body that is full of robust energy. “Why then am I always so tired?”, you ask. Go to Google.com and in the search bar type “why am I”. At the time I am writing this, the number one suggested auto-fill to this question is “so tired” with “always tired” being the second suggestion.
This means that, as of right now, “Why am I so tired?” is the NUMBER ONE “why am I” question researched on Google! Arianna Huffingon first brought this to my attention in her book, Thrive, which was published in 2014. I was so surprised when I first read it that I had to see for myself, and sure enough, there it was. Recalling how surprised I was at the time I read it, I decided to try it again today, thinking surely this would no longer be the case. Shockingly, six years later, it remains the same.
Although initially surprised, the more I thought about it the more it made perfectly good sense. One of the first things I learned when I began studying at Morter Health Systems in January 2007 was that our body is made of various systems, such as the digestive system, nervous system, reproduction system, etc. As long as each organ that makes up each system is fully functioning, we should experience health and plenty of energy.
On the other hand, when any of the organs within a system are overworked, that organ becomes exhausted and eventually compromises the entire system, which affects the other systems and compromises the entire body. This compromise is responsible for dis-ease, and feeling tired or exhausted is often the first warning sign of this breakdown.
But don’t you worry! The body is resilient and fully capable of bouncing right back. Here at The Soulicious Life, I will be sharing with you how you can restore these systems and keep them thriving so that you will also have all the robust energy you need to live a Soulicious Life.
